Qualcosa è cambiato is the new album by Cristiana Polegri, a collection of Italian songs from the 80s that have remained in her memory and that she wanted to interpret in a new guise helped by excellent musicians and producer Nerio Papik Poggi. Among others, we find remakes of songs by Gianna Nannini, Donatella Rettore, Adriano Pappalardo, Raf, Riccardo Fogli, Tullio De Piscopo, Giuni Russo, Marcella Bella and many others. The words of the artist:
When a song is really successful you you realize from many things. How many people, even of different generations, know it. From what it is able to awaken memories and cradle us in that nostalgic atmosphere that makes us hint at a smile and shine our eyes. From what the text has yet to tell. But above all by how much the song maintains its integrity and its nature, while changing its shape, dress and style. Nerio Poggi, with whom I have been collaborating for some time, has changed the lights, make-up and costumes of a selection of pieces that, for me, have meant a lot in the 80s, giving it freshness, agility and fun. Arranging, manipulating, quoting, daring, contaminating, experimenting but above all playing, we recorded a record that wants to be a tribute to the music of our most beautiful years. Because deep down, yes, something has changed. But certain things remain intact.
