American, born in Europe and lived in various Countries during her childhood and teenage years, Amana Melomè comes from an Artists’ Family, Jimmy Woode, his grandfather, was the bass player for artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. Amana Melomè in collaboration with Saverio “Sage” Principini records “Indigo Red“, her debut album released by IRMA records. “Indigo Red” is an eclectic combination of styles, from Nu-Soul to Funk, from Jazz to Bossa and Reggae. The lyrics have a sparkling taste with touches of awareness and knowledge and a certain purity that turns the whole work as bright as a sun ray. “Indigo Red” sees the prestigious collaboration of musicians of the calibre of drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and bassist Reggie Hamilton amongst others.
