IRMA HISTORY: MICHAEL ALLEN – “DEEP INSIDE”

“Deep Inside” by Michael Allen is one of the first CD of the IRMA records series “Molto Jazz”. Published in 1996, “Deep Inside” is a production of a young Francesco Gazzara. Michael Allen, star of the great tradition of “black” soul and rhythn’n’blues before landing in Irma was arranger and producer of the legendary Stax records. With this unique experience Allen was invited to participate in tours of prestigious artists such as Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Anita Ward, Wilson Pickett, Albert King and Joe Walsh… then the first contacts in Italy where he arrived as a collaborator of Al Green and then as artistic director and star of Soul Festival in Porretta Terme.
