Dear music lover,
the record you are holding in your hands is the last effort of Low Fidelity Jet Set Orchestra. The title of this album, which contains 15 tracks selected amongst our latest studio recordings, is knowingly misleading. Infact only a few of the instruments used, exception made for the computer on which we recorded and a few drum machines, are actually digital. All synthesizers used during the production are made by well known brands such as Moog, Korg, Waldorf etc and belong to the 60s, 70s and 80s old school of analogue keyboards. All the guitars, basses, winds, percussions and drums have been recorded in the cleanest possible way and then slightly altered during the post production process to best suit the colour of each different track. All the tracks of this album are meant as a sound commentary of various films, documentaries and TV and radio adverts. Each title comes with a brief explanation to help the listener best understand the collocation and visual association of the corresponding track. It’s always difficult to choose the right music when attempting a sound commentary. Some of the songs we have included in this selection are much shorter than others with the purpose of matching the mood of the different scenes and visuals.
We sincerely hope you will like this record!
