SUGARPIE AND THE CANDYMEN is a group of four musicians and a singer, who like to rearrange Pop, Rock and Discomusic classics, as well as Top 40 hits, in the style of the swing orchestras of the Thirties and Fourties. The arrangements are made to recreate the “retro” 1930’s club atmosphere, featuring lush and sophisticated vocal harmonies ad the danceable typical jazz rhythms of charleston, swing, mambo and boogie-woogie. Within the same night you will hear, one surprisingly next to another, Christina Aguilera and Ray Charles, The Clash and Frank Sinatra, The Led Zeppelin and Prince, Gloria Gaynor and Ella Fitzgerald, Guns n’ Roses and The Beatles… Sugar Pie, aka Georgia Ciavatta, is twenty-four years old and has an amazingly mature and technically voice; in her sparkling dress she leads her Candymen, Jacopo Delfini, Renato Podestà, Alex Carreri and Roberto Lupo, to make up an elegant yet danceable show.
